NBA vs NCAA
Oakland beating Kentucky is just another example of why college bb is better than the Nba . Nobody plays d in the NBA anymore hardly and the one and done nature of the tourney makes it more exciting , jmo. I had a perfect bracket up until now.

I lost on Kentucky too and agree that the tourney is special in that regards.
However I do strongly disagree that they don't play defense in the NBA.
What people mistake in college ball as defense is actually lack of shooting at the college level.
Say what you want but the greatest hoopsters in the world are in the NBA and lots of times even great defense isn't enough to stop these terrific offensive players, jmo .

I'm not saying that the players now are not the best , I'm just saying it's a different game now than it was 20=30 years ago. Here's a stat that proves it , Draymond Green has more 3 ptrs all time than Larry Bird , just let that sink in . You'd win a lot of beers with that bet. lol

If your primary argument is that the NBA is so different that it was 20-30 years ago, I would ask if you watch any NCAA basketball? College basketball has completely changed in just the last 5-10 years alone.
Realignment, one and done, never ending transfers, NIL, shoe companies practically owning college programs. It makes the NBA look like a model of stability. And I am not here to defend the NBA, I watch none of it. But college sports has lost its way across the board.

Maybe so but the NCAA tourney has always been win or go home and thats what makes it exciting. Oakland has played 2 tourney games in their history but now they get to play a third and UK gets to watch.

Bird attempted less than 2 per game. The NBA was much more fun before all of the 3's , college the same way.
Nothing is more boring than watching two teams trying to live off of the 3 and both teams missing those 3's.
Give me the run and gun NBA when teams would get off 100 shots per game.

I'll never forget a few years back I was watching a playoff game where the Nuggets were down by one with seconds left , they had an easy layup but instead kicked it out for the 3 , they missed and lost the series.
