Exciting news on player stats, and launching our first 1980s leagues!
Thanks to the folks at the Baseball DataBank project, I was able to get a complete database of all the stats in baseball history up to 2007. This opens the door to a lot of exciting possibilities. Commissioners who run their own leagues can now import any player from any year instead of being limited to the databases I already created.
Because of this new feature, I was able to build a "Best of the 1980s" league in just a few hours! This should be a really fun, challenging league to play, and those of us who grew up in the '80s will have a blast putting together a team of familiar names from our childhood. The first 1980s Auto Leagues are now open!
The next project I'm looking to work on is creating leagues where you can pick any one complete team from history. No two leagues in this format would ever be the same! Lots of cool stuff to come, so stay tuned. And as always, any feedback is always welcome.
